Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu recently recalled the 1984 Sikh genocide due to one of her interviews. She said how his father was the only Sikh in Delhi's Shakti Nagar at that time, and if there were no Hindus around, she would not know what would have happened. In her interview, Taapsee said that she never thought about what happened to her family at that time. She also came to know that she was from a minority community after she grew up. She says,

Taapsee said that due to her car, the rioters had identified her house. "They brought swords and petrol bombs. They knew we were the only Sikh family in society. We hide in the house with the lights off. There was no option to escape because we knew everyone had arrived outside. Even if we ran away, where would we go? So there were 4 families where we lived on rent. Except us, all three others were Hindus. We hide by closing the light door, and when the rioters came to our door, the people around said that now they have fled from there. Hearing this, they burned Jonga and left. "We survived because people around us helped us."

Let us tell you that, before the Sikh massacre in 1984, a major incident took place in Punjab in the same year. Operation Blue Star This operation was carried out by the Indira Gandhi government to eliminate those Khalistani elements who were constantly targeting Hindus and occupyied the Harimandir Sahib complex.
