New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, April 14, paid tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar at Parliament House lawn on the occasion of 'Ambedkar Jayanti'. President Droupadi Murmu also paid floral tribute to the Architect of India's Constitution on the occasion by offering a garland.

On his birthday, Prime Minister Modi posted on Twitter, "Hundreds of salutes to Pujya Babasaheb, who dedicated his life to the empowerment of the impoverished and exploited sectors of society. Jai Bheem.

President Droupadi Murmu also extended her greetings on the occasion of the 132nd birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar the father of the Constitution.

Murmu posted a message on Twitter that read, "I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of the architect of our Constitution, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar."
Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, also honoured Babasaheb Ambedkar on this occasion. "On the occasion of his birth, let us pay tribute to Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution, who safeguarded justice and rights for every citizen of the nation. He gave up all the conveniences and amenities and devoted his life to helping the less fortunate. His principles and ideas will continue to direct our course, Shah wrote in a tweet.

Mayawati, the leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), paid homage to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar in Lucknow.

Ambedkar, an Indian lawyer, economist, politician, and social reformer who was born on April 14, 1891, advocated for the rights of women and workers and fought against social injustice. On December 6, 1956, he perished. Ambedkar received the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour, in 1990.
