New Delhi: Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan thanked all member countries at the 148th session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Executive Board meeting on Tuesday amid the ongoing war on the coronavirus epidemic. Dr Harsh Vardhan said that with the cooperation of WHO member countries, we are close to defeating the Corona epidemic.

In the meantime, Dr Harsh Vardhan said that 2020 was the year of the discovery of corona vaccine and now 2021 will be the year when we face the challenge of extending the vaccine to people all over the world who need it the most. He also said that vaccine coverage should continue to improve to bring the vaccine to weaker sections and reduce inequalities. Dr Harsh Vardhan himself was leading the WHO Executive Board. He has welcomed the U.S. decision to continue participation in WHO.

India continues to have the world's largest immunization campaign. Dr Harsh Vardhan has said that corona vaccine is completely safe and effective. Just a few days ago, Brazilian President Jeer Bolsonaro thanked PM Narendra Modi for giving 2 million doses of coronavirus vaccine.
