The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has issued an invitation to applicants for walk-in interviews for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions in a variety of disciplines. The interview dates are October 1 through October 4. 11 positions total, spread across several disciplines. At nine in the morning, a job interview will be held at the Terminal Ballistics Research Lab (TBRL), Sector 30, and Chandigarh.
On the day of the interview, the candidates' ages should not exceed 28. For SC/ST candidates, there will be a 5 year relaxation, and for OBC candidates, there will be a 3 year relaxation.
The interview for the three available positions of Junior Research Fellow - Chemistry will take place on October 1. Candidates must hold a first-class postgraduate degree in chemistry and a current NET qualification.
The interview for the four available Junior Research Fellow positions in Mechanical Engineering will take place on October 2. Candidates must hold a first-class ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering from both the undergraduate and graduate levels, or a BE/BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering with a current NET/GATE qualification.
The interview for the one open position of Junior Research Fellow in Electronics Engineering will take place on October 3. The candidate must hold a first-class BE or BTech degree in electronics, electrical and electronic engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering, or electronics and communication engineering, as well as a current NET or GATE qualification. Additionally, the candidate may possess a ME or MTech with a first-class grade in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering, or electronics and communication engineering.
Three positions are open for the Junior Research Fellow - Physics position, and interviews will be held on October 4. Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in physics with a first-class standing and a current NET qualification.
The chosen candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 31,000 plus HRA in accordance with current regulations.
The candidates will be chosen for an initial two-year period, after which they may be extended or upgraded to Senior Research Fellow in accordance with the rules. The JRF/SRF position will only be open for a maximum of five years. The candidates will work at the Ramgarh-based TBRL Range.
The candidates must provide a complete CV, attested copies of all of their grades up to and including class 10, a recent photo in the format of a passport, and an original, valid identification card.
Only those applicants who pass the initial screening will be invited to the interview, which will take place on the same date.
