Patna: A surprising case has come to light from Begusarai in Bihar. On suspicion of smuggling, the team from the Patna Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) raided the jewellery establishment Swarna Ganga Jewellers and recovered more than 10 kg of gold ornaments. At the same time, the director, Pawan Soni, has absconded since the raid.

At present, the police are conducting raids to arrest Pawan Soni, the director of Swarna Ganga Jewellers. However, the DRI team is currently refraining from revealing anything. According to the information provided by the sources, a few days ago, a huge amount of gold jewellery was recovered by the DRI at the Kolkata airport. In its investigation, clues about international gold smuggling were found.

After this, in further investigation, the wires of the Kolkata case continued to connect with Ganga Jewellers of Begusarai. One person was also arrested at Kolkata airport. In questioning him, the accused had taken the name of gold trader Pawan Soni. DRI searched his shop for 5 hours. The documents and jewellery recovered from the shop are being scrutinised.
