Srinagar: A drone has been spotted near the Arnia sector on the international border of Jammu. The drone appeared at 5.20 a.m. Border Security Forces (BSF) personnel fired at the drone. The drone disappeared as soon as the firing took place. At least nine cases of suspected drones appearing in Jammu have been reported for the past 5-6 days.
It started on Sunday when explosives were dropped from drones at Jammu Air Force Station. A drone was spotted near the International Border in the Arnia sector of Jammu around 5.20 am this morning. The drone did not cross the border. It remained in Pakistani territory but was seen near the fence. BSF jawans fired on drones without delay. A BSF spokesman in Jammu said BSF jawans opened fire on Pakistan's small Hexacopter this morning when he was trying to cross the international border in the Arnia sector due to which he immediately returned Our young are alert and ready to respond to any challenge.
Security agencies have been put on alert following a recent drone attack on an Air Force airbase in Jammu. Drones have been spotted in parts of Jammu even after the attack. Meanwhile, DRDO has now become active in the matter and its anti-drone system is under brainstorming. Work on this anti-drone system has been going on for the past three years.
