DU elections: Amit Tanwar from ABVP will be the new President

New Delhi, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) celebrates its victory by bagging the positions of President, Vice President & Secretary following Delhi University elections. Defeating Nikhil Yadav from NSUI and Kawalpreet Kaur from AISA, the new president will be Amit Tanwar from ABVP.

Priyanka Chabri has been elected as the Vice President; Ankit Sangwan will be the Secretary. Both of them are from ABVP. While Mohit sangwan from NSUI will be the Joint Secretary.

Delhi University is a politically active institution and elections began on September 9, for the four posts.

According to the Chief Election Commissioner for the Delhi University polls,“17 candidates were competing for the posts of President, Vice President & Secretary in the Delhi University Students’ Union.”

The votes were scheduled to be counted and results to be declared today on September 10.
