New Delhi: The lockdown since April 20 is being extended till May 15 due to the ongoing covid havoc in the capital Delhi. Earlier, the lockdown has been extended for 7 days from April 26, which is scheduled to continue till 5:00 am on May 3. A senior Delhi government official said no discussion on the lockdown is currently underway. But in view of the situation in Delhi, it is going to be extended at least by May 15. It can also be extended up to 31st May if required in the future.

What is worrying here is that the death toll in Delhi is continuously increasing. There is no place at the crematorium. New crematoriums are being constructed. The cemeteries are full. New cemeteries are being built. There is a possibility of increasing lockdown.
