Chandigarh: A major accident took place on the border of the Nuh district of Haryana. Around seven people were buried under a rock slide from a mountain due to mining in Bijsana village here late on Thursday night. More than 10 vehicles were also reported to be buried. It is being said that 2 people have also died in the accident, although the death in the accident has not been officially confirmed yet.

Relief and rescue operations are underway at the spot late last night to rescue the people trapped under the debris. Most of those trapped under the debris are from Ferozepur Jhirka in Haryana. All of them were engaged in mining work. The accident took place on the basis of information received after the sudden blast at around 11 pm. According to the news, the Rajasthan government has made an allocation for the mining of leaseholders in Bijasna, Rajasthan, adjacent to the Ferozepur Jhirka subdivision of the Nuh district. Stones were being removed by blasting them late at night. Then suddenly a big rock from the mountain fell on the people doing mining work.

It is being said that 5 dumpers, 3 popping and 3 other vehicles were standing on the spot when the accident took place. A huge crowd of people gathered at the spot after the accident was reported. People intensified relief and rescue operations and started evacuating the people trapped under the debris. On the other hand, after the information, administrative officials also reached the spot and the rescue work was intensified by 12 noon. Apart from Haryana, administrative officers of Rajasthan are also present at the spot.
