Dynamatic Technologies, a French aerospace manufacturer based in Bangalore, has secured a deal with Airbus to manufacture all the doors for its A220 family of narrow-body aircraft, marking a significant stride for India's Make in India initiative. The company is already known for producing the Flap Track Beam for Airbus A330 and A320 Family planes.

The announcement of the deal was made during an event attended by Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday.

Although specific financial details were not disclosed, it's worth noting that this deal stands as one of the largest export contracts for an Indian aerospace manufacturer, as stated by Remi Maillard, President of Airbus India.

Notably, Dynamatic Technologies aims to deliver the initial batch of doors to Airbus by early next year, said the  CEO Udayant Malhoutra, in the press briefing.

Tata Advanced Systems Ltd. was previously awarded a contract by Airbus in 2023 to manufacture bulk and cargo doors for the A320 family of aircraft, making Dynamatic's order the second such deal in India.

According to Minister Scindia, there is a growing trend of aircraft component manufacturing taking place within India. He emphasized that this is an opportune time for Airbus to invest in India, with the company aiming to procure up to USD 1.5 billion worth of aircraft components from the nation, doubling its previous commitment of USD 750 million.

Reacting the development, Dynamatic's shares which opened at Rs.7025 surged to an intraday high of Rs. 7780 on the National Stock Exchange on Thursday.
