Uttarakhand: Earthquake tremors felt in Uttarkashi

Dehradun: After the earthquake in Uttarakhand's Bageshwar district on Friday, the tremors were felt in Uttarkashi on Saturday. On Saturday morning at 11:27, a severe tremor was felt in other parts of the district including Uttarkashi district headquarters. The epicentre of the earthquake was in Uttarkashi and its intensity on the Richter scale is recorded at 3.3.

The earthquake was so severe that people came out of their homes in shops. The Disaster Management Department is engaged in gathering detailed information about the earthquake. At present, no damage has been reported from the earthquake. On Friday morning at 10.5 am, the land of Uttarakhand was shaken by the earthquake. An earthquake struck Bageshwar on Friday morning. The earthquake's intensity was recorded at 3.3 on the Richter scale. All the tehsils and police stations were informed. No damage has been reported.

Uttarakhand is very sensitive in terms of the earthquake. Bageshwar joins the zone five and is considered very sensitive to earthquakes. On the first date of December last month, earthquake shocks occurred in many areas of Uttarakhand in the morning. The epicentre of the earthquake was reported to be Daluwala Kalan village in Aurangabad area of Bahadrabad block. The intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 4.0 on the Richter scale. However, there was no loss.
