Tokyo: Two earthquakes occurred within an hour on Honshu Island, Japan's largest island. However, it is a great honour that there has been no loss of life or property in both these earthquakes. This information was given by the Central Meteorological Agency of Japan on Tuesday. According to the weather agency, the tremor was felt at 12:17 pm local time in Fukushima Prefecture on the east coast of Honshu Island.

The magnitude 5.3 of this earthquake was recorded on the Richter scale and it was reported that its centre was located at a depth of 50 km. While the second earthquake struck Gifu province on the western coast of Honshu Island, its intensity was also recorded at 5.3 on the Richter scale while its centre was located at a depth of 10 km. There have been no reports of loss of any property from both the places.

The Meteorological Department has not issued any tsunami warning so far. This is not the first natural disaster in the world amid this corona crisis. On its first day, Cyclone Amfan knocked in Odisha, India on Monday, May 18, and before that on May 14, Cyclone Ambo hit the Philippines.
