New Delhi: Protests against the Agnipath Army recruitment process continue. The biggest impact is on the railway operations. The agitators are targeting railway stations and trains in protest against the army recruitment process. Talking about the last 3-4 days, so far, the coaches of more than 60 trains have been burnt under East Central Railway. At the same time, 10 engines of the railways have been damaged by the protesters.

In such a situation, the Railways have taken a big decision keeping in view the safety of passengers and trains. Railways have decided that many trains running under East Central Railway Hajipur Zone will be run only during night hours for 2 days. According to Virendra Kumar, CPRO, East Central Railway, on the 19th, trains running under East Central Railway will operate only from 8 pm to 4 am. This means that from 4 am to 8 pm, the operation of trains will be completely suspended during the day.

Virendra Kumar, CPRO, East Central Railway informed that due to the ongoing dharna demonstration in the State of Bihar, there has been a temporary change in the operation of trains passing/reaching east central railway jurisdiction openly from other zonal railways in view of passenger safety/safety. In view of the safety of passengers and railway property, it has been decided that the trains passing/arriving from East Central Railway jurisdiction on today, 19th June will be operated from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
