The Election Commission today has directed all the political parties that no candidate, political party or organization on February 3 and 4 will publish the advertisements in print media unless the content is cleared by the Media Certification & Monitoring Committee(MCMC).

The commission has also directed the newspapers of Goa and Punjab to not publish any advertisement in print media on these dates unless it is pre-certified by the MCMC.

The Campaigning for the upcoming Assembly elections in  Punjab and Goa will get close today. The order has been issued to MCMC committees to ensure that the decision in these cases is taken expeditiously.

In Punjab and Goa Assembly elections will held on February 4.
