Kochi: The Kerala Assembly on Monday unanimously passed a resolution seeking the recall of Lakshadweep (Lakshadweep) administrator Praful Khoda Patel and the central government's intervention on the Lakshadweep issue. At the same time, Kerala has become the first state in the country to pass a resolution on recent developments in the Union Territory.
Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan moved the government resolution, the first such proposal in the 15th Assembly. He has criticized the Central Government for destroying Lakshadweep's democracy. In fact, the lakshadweep administration's draft mandates a ban on the killing of cows, calves, bulls and buffaloes without the permission of an competent authority, which the opposition has been consistently protesting against.
CM Pinarayi Vijayan said Lakshadweep's future is a matter of concern and it is unacceptable to undermine its unique and local lifestyle. CM Vijayan has appealed that those who support the upholding of constitutional values should strongly oppose the steps of the Administration of Lakshadweep. The resolution passed in the Kerala Assembly said efforts are being made to impose 'saffron agenda' and corporate interests by destroying the local lifestyle and ecosystem in Lakshadweep.
