New Delhi: The general public is going to be hit hard by inflation soon. The month of Sawan is currently underway, and most people in the country do not eat non veg this month. When they arrive to buy chicken or eggs after the sawn, they may suffer a big shock. Indeed, inflation can now spoil the taste of eggs and chicken. Egg and chicken prices can go up by 20 to 25 percent. Behind it is being cited as increasing costs in poultry and egg production. The increase in fuel prices has also increased the cost of farmers.

According to people involved in this business, the price of chicken feed has doubled. Poultry farmers are worried about the rising prices of soybean and maize. Because chickens are given soybeans and maize the most in food. According to traders, soy miles have increased from Rs 35 per kg to Rs 90 a kg, meaning prices have more than doubled. The price of maize has also touched around Rs 40, which was selling at Rs 21 per kg. Currently, the egg in the wholesale market is Rs 4 to Rs 5 per piece.

Poultry farmers say the increase in the price of chicken feed has increased the cost of production of chicken by Rs 75 to Rs 100. That is, the cost has increased by 30 percent. This can increase the price of eggs and chicken by 20 to 25 percent.
