* Kirtan and Jagran should be done while donating a lamp in Vishnu temple on the night of Ekadashi.

* On Dwadashi Tithi, next day of Ekadashi, donations should be made to Brahmins and the poor.

* Eating whole day during Ekadashi fast is considered prohibited.

* It is considered necessary to spend time from Dashami to Parana while doing Satskarma.
