Kolkata: The Election Commission has responded to a letter from Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Sunday. The election commission has said that there was no hindrance during the polling in Nandigram. TMC's polling agent did not come to the booth. The Commission further said that it is wrong to stop the polling agent at the booth. Peaceful voting was going on at the booth. BSF Jawans posted in the booth made wrong allegations.

In a statement, the Election Commission said, a mock drill was conducted at 5.30 am at polling stations in Nandigram, and voting began at 7 am. The Commission also said that polling agents of all political parties were present during the mock drill. The election commission said CCTV footage exists to prove that there was no disturbance in the election.

Let us say that the second phase of voting in Bengal was on April one. During the voting, Mamata had been in the seven-number booth at Bial-2 for two hours and called Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and accused him of rigging the vote. He also accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of interfering in the election work. Not only that, but CM Mamata also wrote a letter to the Election Commission in this regard.
