Patna: The dates for the Bihar assembly elections 2020 have been announced. This time assembly elections will be held in Bihar in three phases. Assembly elections in Bihar will begin with voting on October 28 and the last phase of voting will be held on November 7. On November 10, the results of the Bihar assembly elections will be declared.

Election Commissioner Sunil Arora has said that first phase voting will be held on October 28, the second phase voting will be held on November 3 and third phase voting will be held on November 7. The Election Commission said that Bihar elections will be held in three phases. In the first phase, voting will be held for 71 assembly seats. Polling will be held for 91 assembly seats in the second phase and for 78 assembly seats in the third phase. After this, the results of Bihar assembly elections will be declared on November 10. The term of the 243-member assembly of Bihar ends on November 29.

The Election Commission said that where there would be a need and demand, a postal ballot would be arranged. The election campaign will run virtually and nominations can also be filled online. The Election Commissioner said that this time the parties and the candidates will have a virtual election campaign. Due to the corona, big public meetings will not be held.
