New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora, Election Commissioners Ashok Lavasa and Sushil Chandra held a review meeting on Thursday in preparation for the Delhi Assembly election in the Election Building, in which all the District Election Officers and senior officers of the police administration attended. The meeting was attended by all the District Election Officers, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Joint Commissioner of Police, Chairman of New Delhi Municipal Council, Nodal Officers of several concerned departments including Chief Executive Officer of Delhi Cantonment Board.

The Election Commission also held a separate meeting with Delhi Chief Secretary Vijay Dev and Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik. Addressing the officials present at the meeting convened in the Election Commission of India, Arora said that, under Article 324 of the Constitution of India, the Election Commission has the responsibility to conduct Delhi Assembly elections in a free, fair and reliable manner. We have to do it well and peacefully.

Lavasa directed the election officials to take immediate action on complaints received from the 'C-Vigil App' and pay full attention to EVM / VVPAT training. The Chief Election Officer of Delhi, Dr. Ranveer Singh, who was present at the meeting, gave a presentation on the key points of the preparations for the election.
