Election Commission szied 8 lakh cash from car
tyle="text-align:justify">Tuesday, Election officials seized Rs eight lakh unaccounted cash from a car in Kavindapady village.
Police said “the two persons in the car could not produce proper documents, following which the money was seized by the officials and remitted to the sub-treasury at Bhavani.”
The car was on its way to this city from Sathyamangalam town.
Election officials have seized more than Rs 80 crore in Tamil Nadu since the Model Code of Conduct came into effect last month.
