Raipur: A 25-year-old woman was attacked by a wild elephant in Korba district in Chhattisgarh. The woman lost her life in this attack. Her 5-year-old niece was badly injured. Farooq, Divisional Forest Officer of Katghora Forest, has said that the incident took place in Bodarapara village. The officer said that the elephant suddenly attacked a house made of mud. Meanwhile, the family was sound asleep. The villager has been identified as Jayakaran.
Elephant attacked in the night: Just as Jayakaran was taking his wife Chandrika Bai out to save his wife's life, he left his wife in the same place after seeing the elephant's wrath, after which his wife died on the spot. During the accident, the niece of the deceased woman was injured, whose treatment is going on in the hospital.
Rs. 25,000 assistance to the family of the deceased: According to information received, the official said that immediate assistance of Rs. 25,000 has been given to the family of the deceased. While the remaining 5.75 lakh rupees will be given as damages.
