Udhagamandalam, In a tragic incident, an elephant trampled a 48 year old farmer to death at Kozhithorai. As per the police, "incident occurred last evening when Natarajan, a resident of Jogikambai tribal hamlet, had gone to visit his sister in Kozhithorai village".
"As he did not return home till midnight, his relatives went out to look for him and found his trampled body in the early hours in Mamaram area, some 40 kms from here", added police.
His body was taken to the Government Hospital with injuries on stomach and legs.
