Now a day’s many cases against animal harassment coming into light. One of such incident reported earlier from Tamilnadu Andal Temple in Srivilliputhur, Here a Elephant was beaten up by a mahout and his assistant while in the rejuvenation camp. Now for safe guard of animal protection, Elephant was sent back to Temple.

For your information let us share that Elephant sent back on early hours of Thursday. As per reported it is found that the elephant named as Jayamalyatha was thrashed by mahout Vinilkumar and his assistant Shivaprasath, with sticks several times. By Goodness a video of thrashed had gone viral that forcing the Forest department to take strict action. While Mahout and his assistant were arrested and remanded on February 21.

Talking about the elephant, some 50km from Coimbatore this 19-year old elephant was chained since then in the camp at Thekkampatti. After discussion between the senior officials of HR and CE, Forest and Animal husbandry departments, it was decided to shift the elephant back considering its safety and health and also of other elephants in the camp.
