Tesla CEO Elon Musk has voiced his concerns regarding the challenges faced by immigrants navigating the legal immigration process in the United States. Musk, himself an immigrant, emphasized the need for a more efficient and straightforward system for individuals who possess talent, work ethic, and integrity.

Speaking on X platform, Musk clarified that his concerns about the influx of unvetted illegal immigrants into American cities do not signify being "anti-immigrant." Instead, he underscored his strong support for increasing and expediting legal immigration for those who meet specific criteria.

Musk expressed frustration with the current legal immigration system, labeling it as "unnecessarily complex and painfully slow." He highlighted the sharp contrast between the lengthy legal immigration process and the relative ease of illegal entry into the country.

In a statement posted on X, Musk stated, “Despite concerns about the overwhelming presence of unvetted illegal immigrants in American cities, the media often mischaracterizes my stance as 'anti-immigrant'. As an immigrant myself, nothing could be further from the truth."

He continued, "I advocate for an expedited and fair immigration process for those who are talented, hardworking, and honest. The current system's complexities and delays are nonsensical, especially when compared to the simplicity and speed of illegal entry into the USA."

Previously, Musk criticized the array of benefits and services available to undocumented immigrants in the United States. He has been vocal about his apprehensions regarding the Biden administration's handling of the border crisis, expressing concerns about the economic repercussions of illegal immigration through various social media posts.

"Here's something you might not know: undocumented immigrants in America are eligible for bank loans, mortgages, insurance, driver's licenses, free healthcare (in California & New York), and in-state college tuition," Musk pointed out. "What's the point of citizenship if undocumented individuals receive all the benefits without paying taxes or fulfilling civic duties?" remarked the tech magnate last month.
