USA: Voters on Twitter who supported Elon Musk's resignation as CEO may need to sign up for a Twitter Blue membership for their votes to be taken into account.

According to Musk, only paid users of the microblogging platform will be able to vote on policy-related issues. The billionaire has not yet said whether he will step down from his position.

In one poll, a large majority of Twitter users wanted Musk removed as CEO. The billionaire swore to abide by the results of the vote.
However, these users seem to be in for a rude awakening. The CEO may drop the idea altogether, or we may just see a new survey for Twitter Blue users.

Musk's latest announcement was a response to a Twitter Blue user who said, "Only Blue customers should be able to vote in policy-related polls. Really, we have something to lose."

In response, Musk said, "Well said. Twitter will change that."
The intriguing conversation happened in response to another tweet that discussed the use of voting bots to oust Musk.

However, will Twitter implement such a change? Given that Twitter Blue has not yet been widely adopted, such a change would prevent many Twitter Blue supporters and opponents from casting ballots.

The "lords and peasants" system, which Musk once disliked in reference to a previous blue tick system, would return if Twitter made that change.

Will a survey be conducted before Twitter decides to allow only Blue customers to vote on policy-related issues?
Musk will have to put it to a vote as he promised Twitter users that "there will be a vote for major policy changes."
