The first 50 postal ballots are counted by the counting staff. Votes are counted division-wise after the counting of postal ballots. 1000 votes are counted in each round for each table. Each table is bundled with 25 votes and counted as 40 bundles. The counting of votes is being overseen by District Collector Kartikeya Mishra and SP Rahul Dev Sharma himself.

Eluru: The counting of results of the Eluru Municipal Corporation elections in West Godavari district is about to begin. Authorities have made strong arrangements for the counting of votes at the CR Reddy Engineering College in the suburbs of Eluru. The results will be revealed in a single round on 48 tables for 47 divisions. The counting of votes, which starts at 8 am, will be completed by 12 noon.

Four senior officers were appointed as supervisors for the four counting halls. CCTV cameras at the counting centers will be monitored with videography. Election officials said all counting staff would be denied entry into the counting hall without Kovid tests, masks and face shields. Officials said victory rallies were not allowed.However, it is learned that three of the 50 divisions are already unanimous with the YSSRCP regarding the Eluru Municipal Corporation elections. The victories of the candidates who have been eagerly waiting for the results since the election ended in March will be revealed today.
