Dungarpur: A case of shame to humanity has come to light from the Dungarpur district of Rajasthan. Here, under the influence of alcohol, a man tried to rape an old woman living in the neighbourhood. When he could not commit rape, in anger, he attacked the private part of the old woman. The criminal did not stop here. He then killed the woman by knife.

The incident is of the Kuan police station area. SHO Mohammad Rizwan said that the old woman's granddaughter lodged an FIR with the police. According to the granddaughter's complaint, her cousin's grandparents' house is in their neighbourhood. She fed her grandparents as usual and went back home. After a while, the screaming of grandparents was heard.

When she reached there after running, she saw that the grandmother was lying on the ground in a blood-soaked condition. A lot of blood was coming out of her private part too. It was the grandmother who told the granddaughter that a person named Hurji Bamania, who lived in the neighbourhood, came to her house under the influence of alcohol and tried to rape her. When the old lady protested, Hurji made several attacks on her private part with her hands. Due to this, she started bleeding. He attacked her with a knife and injured her. The criminal fled from there. The granddaughter informed the family about this, after which, the injured old lady was taken to Chikhali Hospital. Due to his critical condition, she was referred to Sagwara Hospital. But the old lady died on the way. The matter is being investigated by the police.
