Kuala Lumpur: As the coronavirus continues to wreak havoc in the world, the King of Malaysia has sealed the emergency for the Coronavirus on Tuesday, which will remain closed for at least the month of August and will prevent all attempts to hold general elections to remove the troubled PM Muhyiddin Yassin from office and provide relief.

In a televised speech, Muhyiddin assured the citizens that this emergency is not a military coup and curfew will not be enforced. He said that even during the emergency which continued till August one, bagdore of the country will be in the hands of the civil government. The final decision will be taken to see the situation in which the emergency will continue till August or earlier.

The emergency has been declared suddenly. A day earlier, Muhyiddin had declared that Malaysia's largest city would be in Kuala Lumpur, the administrative capital, Putrajaya, and five high-risk cities, which would continue for two weeks starting Wednesday. All these developments have happened at a time when the United Malay National Organisation, the largest party in the ruling coalition, has threatened to withdraw support from the Muhyiddin so that general elections can be held before the moment.
