Emraan Hashmi, the finest actor of Hindi cinema,  has tried his hand in different genre films like Raj 3, Murder, Kalyug and proved that he can do any kind of character easily. Character: Raghu Srivastava Film: Footpath (2003)
Emraan Hashmi started his career with this film. He appeared in the lead role along with two more actors Aftab Shivdasani and Rahul Dev. Raghu plays a gangster who kills his father's murderer to help his friend. Along with this, Imran's anger seems very dangerous in this film. Imran's performance in the opening film was well received by critics.

Character: Sunny Film: Murder (2004)
In this film directed by Anurag Basu, Emraan Hashmi is aligned with Mallika Sherawat. Along with this, he played the character of married woman Simran's lover Sunny in this film. Apart from this, Emraan Hashmi also came to be known by the name of serial Kisar. At the same time, the story of this film did not have much power. Apart from this, it was Emraan Hashmi's acting that made this film such a huge success. Character: Ali Bhai Film: Kalyug (2005)

Emraan Hashmi's character as Shoaib Khan in this period drama film is based on Dawood Ibrahim. Emraan Hashmi was seen in a supporting role with actors like Ajay Devgn, Randeep Hooda, Kangana Ranaut, Prachi Desai. Emraan seems very cute in the romantic scenes of the film, though the action and drama scenes look more harsh. He was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Supporting Artist for the film.

Character: Arjun Bhagwat Film: Murder 2 (2011)
As much as the film was a hit, its songs were also a hit. In the film, Imran treats all people in the same way as he is a specialty. Along with this, according to the character, they do not like to have a man's eye, whereas with women, they perform in bed in the same way for which they are known. The critics did not praise the film much but Emraan Hashmi was very supportive. He is accompanied by Jacqueline Fernandes and Prashant Narayan in the lead roles.
