In its reply, ED said that Mehul Choksi was given several opportunities for investigation, but he kept on evading the interrogation. Choksi has claimed that his property worth Rs 6129 crore has been confiscated, which is grossly wrong as ED has seized properties worth only Rs 2100 crore during the investigation.  ED has told a Mumbai court that it has also agreed to provide air ambulances to bring Choksi from Antigua to India, which will also have medical experts. In addition, it will provide him with all necessary treatment arrangements in India.

"Mehul Choksi never cooperated with the investigation," ED said in its affidavit. A non-bailable warrant has been issued against him. Interpol has also issued a red corner notice against Mehul Choksi. He has refused to come back. So he is absconding and fugitive. '
