Kolkata: In the Teacher Recruitment Scam case (SSC Scam) that emerged in West Bengal, the Central Investigation Agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) has now prepared to take big action. According to the report, all the recruitments of primary teachers in government schools during the tenure of the ruling party Trinamool Congress (TMC) are in the eyes of the ED. In this case, the information of the candidates is also being collected. The special thing is that the ED has already arrested Partha Chatterjee, who was the Education Minister in the state from 2011 to 2021.

The ED has asked the West Bengal Board of Elementary Education to give details of some candidates. These candidates were appointed to the post of primary teacher in 2011. The ongoing recruitment scam in government schools is being investigated by CBI and ED. ED is probing money laundering. Along with this, the investigating agencies are also probing the alleged irregularities in recruitment through the School Service Commission (SSC).

A senior official of the Board of Primary Education has informed that 'We have written a letter to all the district primary school councils to give information including the name, address, TET roll number of the people appointed.' Along with this, details have also been sought in which primary school they have been appointed. The special thing is that during the tenure of TMC, TET exams were held at least three times in 2012, 2014 and 2017. At the same time, in 2014, there were reports of irregularities in the recruitment process. Also, the former education minister of the state Partha Chatterjee is accused of giving jobs to ineligible candidates by taking money. It is also alleged that he has appointed relatives of many politicians, even relatives of his guards, in colleges, thereby eradicating the right of deserving candidates.
