New Delhi: England have announced their squad for the two-Test series against New Zealand. The selected players list has some changes. The series is scheduled to begin next month of June. England wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Fox has been ruled out of the Test series due to a hamstring injury.

The team management has included wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings, opening batsman Haseeb Hameed in the squad after Ben Fox was dropped. However, it is yet to be decided whether Sam Billings will get a place in the team. James Bracki, who is already in the team, is believed to be included in the final XI as wicketkeeper. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement that Ben Fox, who was selected in england's men's squad earlier this month, was all set to play his first Test match in domestic conditions at Lord's next month, but suffered a hamstring injury when he slipped into the dressing room after the Surrey County Championships on Sunday.

ECB said his injury will now be assessed, working with surrey's medical team on his rib. He can stay out of the ground for at least three months. Billings has played only limited overs cricket for England so far and is yet to make his Test debut. Opening batsman Hameed has excelled in the county season, scoring 474 runs at an average of 52.66. He played his last Test match in November 2016. He will join the England team on Sunday.
