Premier League football clubs have decided not to stop in the middle of this season despite 10 matches being postponed due to the Covid-19 transition last week. More than 90 per cent of the Italian and Spanish league players have been vaccinated against corona, but only 77 per cent of the Premier League players have received both doses.

The league has also said that 16 per cent of the players have not been administered a dose. The cases of corona infection among league players and staff have increased from 42 to 90 last week. More than 90,000 cases have been heard daily in the UK for three of the last 4 days. A virtual meeting of Premier League clubs has been held on Monday after 6 out of 10 matches were cancelled at the end of the week.

The league has said that we know that many clubs are facing the challenges of covid transition but the collective intention of the league is to continue the current season. The safety and health of all are going to be our priority. We have to strictly follow the protocol. We have to complete the work in collaboration with the clubs to complete the vaccination of all the players and staff.
