New Delhi: The South African team has suffered a severe setback ahead of the Test series against India starting December 26. Pacer Anrich Nortje will miss the three-Test series against India. Anrich Nortje was struggling with injury even before being selected by the Test team, but Nortje could not fit before the Test match, forcing him to be dropped from the South African team.
Mentions that Anrich Nortje is a key bowler in the South African team. Together with Kagiso Rabada, he has led South Africa to success on several occasions. A statement issued by Cricket South Africa said Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the 3-Test series against Team India due to his earlier injury. No other player's name will be announced in place of Nortje due to Covid-19.
