ENHYPEN member Sunghoon leaving ‘Music Bank’ as an MC alongside IVE’s Jang Wonyoung

Sunghoon, an ENHYPEN member, replaced TOMORROW X TOGETHER's Soobin and OH MY GIRL's Arin's Akong MC couple when he joined KBS' music programme "Music Bank" in October 2021. He joined previously unidentified IVE member and former IZ*ONE member Jang Wonyoung to form the MC duo that would become known as "Jjanggu."

Initial rumours about Sunghoon abandoning his role as the show's host surfaced on September 1. Later, BELIFT LAB announced that Sunghoon would make his final appearance on September 2 after 11 months as the official MC, who was well-liked. To show their appreciation for Sunghoon's dedication, viewers of the music programme and ENGENEs trended hashtags.

Sunghoon offered his feelings on being a part of the show after the filming of the final episode of "Music Bank," in which he will serve as the MC, was finished. He expressed his joy at getting the chance to host a show that he has been a fan of since he was a young child. Further expressing his gratitude for the applause from the spectators, he praised the numerous staff members and the crew of the show who assisted him in producing outstanding results each week and looked after the K-pop idol.

Sunghoon acknowledged the support of ENGENEs, ENHYPEN's fanbase, and expressed his gratitude. He made a commitment to treasure the memories and display a better version of himself going forward, especially as he prepared for the boy group's impending world tour in October. The group's seven members, including Sunghoon, travelled to Japan in the meanwhile to attend the "&AUDITION - The Howling - FINAL ROUND," during which the final members of the new boy group by HYBE LABELS would be unveiled.
