Noted Bollywood actress Esha Deol is celebrating her 40th birthday today. She was born in Mumbai on this day. The daughter of veteran actor Dharmendra and dream girl Hema Malini made her Bollywood debut with the 2002 movie 'Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe.' Esha's acting in the movie was much appreciated and she was also honoured with the Best Debut Actress award for 'Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe.'

Aftab Shivdasani appeared in her opposite in the same movie. Esha Deol was active in Bollywood in the 2000s. She started her acting career in 2002 with 'Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe,' but after 2011 she distanced herself from the big screen. Recently Esha opened up about why she had distanced herself from Bollywood for 10 years. Esha is now making a comeback with Ajay Devgn's web series 'Rudra- The Age of Darkness.'

The same Esha Deol revealed in an interview and explained why she had distanced herself from movies for so long. According to Esha, she took a break from acting because of her personal life as she wanted to settle down in her life. The actress said that I wanted to settle down with my husband Bharat Taktani and start a family. I was just in love and enjoying it. If you had worked, you would not have been able to enjoy it well.
