UNITED STATES: Hungary needs its own military bloc free from US influence, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Thursday in the Swiss Weltwatch weekly. They feel that America is drawing Europe into an undefeated conflict that raises the prospect of a world war.

A European NATO would, according to Orban, be the answer to the problem. He also said that the tension between the West and Russia is a result of America's desire to further expand its sphere of influence.

Referring to talks he had with Russian President Vladimir Putin weeks before the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kiev in late February 2022, Orban said Moscow was concerned about NATO's eastward push into Georgia and Ukraine.

Orban told Swiss media, "Putin told me that his problem was the US missile bases in Poland and Romania and the possible NATO expansion in Ukraine and Georgia." Well.

According to Orban, this was one of the underlying causes of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. "I recognize what Putin was saying. Regarding the Russian military operation in Ukraine, the Hungarian prime minister said, "I do not approve of what they did.

According to Orban, Hungary should stay out of the conflict. Additionally, he claimed that Budapest was under "constant pressure" because other Western countries "want to drag us into war by any means."

Orban thinks this is the case because the EU is putting American interests above his own. He claimed that more often than not, decisions made in Brussels were motivated by US interests.

He believed that if Western countries really wanted peace in Ukraine, they would have to demonstrate that they had the "will" and "will" to do so. Today, at least in the West, "there is a lack of will," he declared.

Hungary has criticized both Western sanctions against Russia and arms shipments to Ukraine, while repeatedly calling for peace amid the conflict between Moscow and Kiev.

Orban said earlier this week that no one has benefited from the ongoing hostilities in the world. Hungary was the only NATO member that supported China's peace plan for Ukraine.
