Patna: A sensational incident of murder took place on Vijayadashami night in Arrah, Bihar. Due to the birthday party, criminals shot and killed a man. The police reached the spot after being informed about the incident. Along with collecting evidence, the body was sent for post-mortem. This incident of murder in the city has created an atmosphere of fear among the people.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that the dispute caused by the party is the root of the incident. Empty liquor bottles, mutton as well as other eatables were also recovered from the spot. It is being speculated that there was a mutton and liquor party first. Subsequently, the criminals fled after committing the incident. The deceased has been identified as Jitendra Singh alias KB (38), son of Shiv Balak Ram, a resident of Jawahar Tola under the Nawada police station area. Jitendra also has a criminal history in the past.

The case is of Shivpur Mohalla of Nagar police station area. Where Jitendra Singh alias KB was having a birthday party in Shivpur locality with his friends on Dussehra night. Meanwhile, armed criminals shot and killed him. As soon as the news of the incident was received, Jitendra's family members along with his acquaintances and many leaders also reached the spot. CPI(ML) city secretary Dilraj Pritam demanded the police to arrest the culprits involved in the incident at the earliest and give financial compensation to the family members of the deceased. Arrah Sadar SP Himanshu Kumar, who is investigating the entire incident, said that the party was held by Jitendra Singh and his friends. During this, he was shot and killed. The police are investigating the whole matter. Soon the miscreants involved in this scandal will be identified and arrested.
