Mumbai: In Thane, Maharashtra, a man tried to kill his ex-girlfriend after she refused to elope with him. A Thane police officer has informed that a case has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the victim. A Tilak Nagar police station officer has told that the 25-year-old victim married another youth after breaking up with the accused and has a two-year-old child.

The official has told that the incident took place on Friday afternoon, when the woman had come to her parents' house in Desle Pada, Dombivali area. As soon as the woman came out of her house, the accused reached her. The officer said that the accused told the woman that he loved her and wanted to marry her.

After this, the accuser started asking her to run away with him. When the woman refused to run away with the accused, he pulled out a knife and allegedly slit her throat, but the victim somehow managed to escape to her house. The family took her to the hospital and admitted her to the ICU. A case was registered against the accused.
