Ex-ICC CFO Faisal Hasnain named the next CEO of the PCB

Lahore: Former ICC Chief Financial Officer Faisal Hasnain has been appointed as the next Chief Executive of the Pakistan Cricket Board, succeeding Wasim Khan.

In January, Hasnain will take over as president. Faisal was involved in the sale of the governing body's commercial rights for the 2007-2015 and 2016-2023 cycles as the CFO of the International Cricket Council. Faisal also played cricket for Zimbabwe.

In a statement, PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja stated, "Faisal is a recognised face in world cricket and is well regarded, respected, and trusted for his expertise in corporate governance, financial management, and commercial acumen." "With the plans I have for the PCB, Faisal will be a wonderful fit since he can use his enormous expertise and knowledge to assist us in achieving our commercial and financial objectives of growing and strengthening Pakistan cricket." Hasnain, for one, stated that he intends to improve Pakistan cricket's image and reputation. "I am fully committed to delivering the PCB Chairman's vision for Pakistan cricket, fulfilling the expectations and dreams of millions of passionate Pakistan cricket fans, and strengthening our existing commercial partnerships, the ICC and other Cricket Boards, as well as developing new partnerships as we move forward," he added.
