External Affairs Minsiter S Jaishankar recently in a interview by Austria's national broadcaster ORF given statements regarding to the India-China border situation, Europe sterotype, Russian Crude Imports.

Explaining the Beijing tries of unilaterally changing the LAC, Jaishankar said that "We had an agreement not to unilaterally change the Line of Control (LAC), which they have tried to unilaterally do". In a recent tiff happened in the Tawang area, where China again intervened around the LAC, resulted in minor-injuries on both the sides, creating a sense of breach of security from China's side. Leading to a tense situation in both the countries.

Responding to a question on 'what if China also says that India did not observe the agreements' to which Jaishankar replied that "it will be difficult for Beijing to say as thier are very clear records stating it".  

Both the countries have already held 17 rounds of talks to resolve the border issues but still the Tawang clash happened on December 9, which was the a major clash between two armies since the Galwan Valley tiff in June 2020. 

S Jaishankar also gives statements regarding to the Russian Crude imports where on being asked India's increasing import of Russian oil he replied saying "If at 60,000 Euros you are so caring about your population, I have a population at $ 2,000", to which he further replied that Europe has imported six times more energy from Russia than India did, since February 2022. 

Defending India's response towards the import of crude oil from Russia. "In international relations, you have complicated situations. The countries concerned should resolve their issues through the path of peace and diplomacy", Jaishankar said. He also pointed out on the Europe's shift of purchase to Middle-East and pressurising the global oil markets.

The war between Russia and Ukarine has lead to a disrupt in the system as Russia was the largest exporter of crude oil and since the war began European countries has withdrawn the import of oil and energy. Total disruption has taken place in the economy after the war which has impacted everyone.

S Jaishankar has also attacked on the Pakistan stating it as a "epicentre of terrorism" and said that they have used much harsh words against India. "This is a country which has attacked the Parliament of India some years ago, which attacked the city of Mumbai, which went after hotels, and foreign tourists, which every day sends terrorists across the border", said by S Jaishankar during the interview. 

He hitted the European countries and questions their stereotype of not coming in front foot to condem the Pakistans actions. "When we speak about judgments and principles, why don't I hear sharp European condemnation of these practices that have been going on for decades?"
