Facebook has shown its way out to an employee who protested against not doing a fact check of US President Donald Trump's post. The employee last month criticized Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's decision not to take action against a provocative post by Donald Trump. The name of the employee fired by Facebook is Brandon Dail, a Facebook user interface engineer. Working on Brandon has tweeted, claiming that he was sacked for publicly scolding a colleague who refused to include his statement in support for the Black Lives Matter movement. Facebook has confirmed Dail's dismissal but has not given any information regarding the reasons for his dismissal.

Trump had a tweet on demonstrations in Minneapolis regarding the death of George Floyd in police custody, on which Twitter issued a warning but on the same post, Facebook said that this post is not violating company policy. This decision of Facebook was opposed by some employees of Facebook and said that they are 'ashamed' of it. Simultaneously, after Twitter's fact check, Mark Zuckerberg criticized Twitter in an interview that private companies should not do so. There was dissatisfaction among Facebook employees after Zuckerberg's statement and many have refused to work virtually.

He had said in a post that he would review the policies of Facebook and it would be changed if needed. He supported the Black Lives Matter movement in his post, writing, 'He supports the Black Lives Matter movement and will soon start reviewing the company's policies. We will emphasize on the review of the policies of the movement against the police force and civil violence in any country.'
