Facebook has decided to withdraw BlackBerry's supporting mobile operating system. That would be little disappointment to the users as this will force the users to go for the mobile website of the social media platform, reports the edge.The move follows WhatsApp's announcement of discontinuing its BlackBerry 10 and BBOS apps by the end of 2016.

Blackberry Senior Marketing manager for developer relation Lou Gazzola announced the news on Monday through his blog post that, “We are extremely disappointed in their decision, as we know so many users love these apps.

We fought back to work with WhatsApp and Facebook to change their minds, but at this time, their decision stands. Despite this, we have worked hard to ensure that our end-users have the best experience in light of this decision, and we are continuing to search for alternate solutions.’

However, the blog post doesn’t say that when facebook is planning on doing this, and the applications is still available in the Blackberry world app store.
