The leading social media application Facebook is about to amend many changes. Facebook has declared that it will soon refresh its plans on its internal employee discussion platform and impose constraints on their ability to debate on social and political issues, a move that comes amid growing questions about how the leading social media platform handles uncertain content on its main service for the public. The move comes days after employees spoke up on Facebook’s internal discussion boards against the company’s strategies, especially since charges of political prejudice developed against Facebook India executives who are accused of favouring the ruling political party.

Recently, a company spokesman stated that CEO Mark Zuckerberg described his plans for the barriers to employees on Thursday, with details of the new rules to be announced next week, according to a leading tech daily. Spokesman Joe Osborne stated, “What we’ve heard from our employees is that they want the option to join debates on social and political issues rather than see them unexpectedly in their work feed." He further stated that 'the rules will apply to employee discussions of how executives handle politically sensitive content on FB’s platforms.'

As staffers have become vocal about their differences with Zuckerberg, comments posted on the workplace have been leaked to the press. At least three employees spoke to a leading daily and said they were worried that Facebook was monitoring their devices and scrutinizing their comments on the internal messaging system. “Instead of setting standards by focusing on problematic content, we are being monitored,” a US-based employee stated a leading daily.
