The actress started her acting career in 1967 with Thirumurugan's 'Thunaivan,' and was only 4 years old at the time.

In Bollywood, she made his debut as a child artiste in the 1975 hit 'Julie' and then acted in several films. She appeared in the 1979 film 'Solva Sawan' as the lead actress in Hindi films but got recognition from the 1983 film 'Himmatwala.' Sridevi's luck shone after the film and she became a superstar. Sridevi acted in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films in her career.

At the age of just 13, Sridevi starred Rajinikanth's stepmother in the Tamil film 'Moondru Mudichu' which was brilliant. Sridevi used to get less Hindi early in her career in Bollywood and dubbed for the first time for her dialogues in the film 'Chandni.' People became obsessed with his voice in the film. She is said to have secretly married Mithun Chakraborty but the two parted ways after some time.

During that time, their marriage certificate was handed over to the media, though the two never accepted it. In fact, in 1996, Sridevi married Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor's elder brother filmmaker Boney Kapoor and became Arjun Kapoor's stepmother. Sridevi then had two daughters named Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. Sridevi is no longer in this world and people miss her a lot.
