Devendra Fadnavis Oath-Taking Ceremony Today: PM Modi, Amit Shah, and JP Nadda to Attend- Maharashtra is set to witness a grand event today as Devendra Fadnavis takes the oath of office as Chief Minister for the third time. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for 5 PM at South Mumbai's Azad Maidan and promises to be a significant political occasion.

Alongside Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde of the Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will also be sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers, marking a pivotal moment in Maharashtra’s political landscape.

Highlighting the 'Ladki Bahin' Scheme
This event is not just about political transitions; it also symbolizes the success of the ‘Ladki Bahin’ scheme. The initiative, aimed at empowering women, played a critical role in the landslide victory of the Mahayuti alliance during the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections.

High-Profile Guests Expected
The guest list for the ceremony includes prominent figures from Indian politics and beyond. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda are expected to attend, along with several Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are also anticipated at the event. Opposition leaders such as Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, and Nana Patole have reportedly been invited, showcasing an inclusive approach to the ceremony.

Business magnate Mukesh Ambani and notable personalities from the Marathi and Bollywood film industries are among the expected attendees. Musical performances by singer Kailash Kher and the celebrated duo Ajay-Atul are also on the agenda.

The ceremony will include participation from Union Ministers, spiritual leaders, and 1,000 beneficiaries of the ‘Ladki Bahin’ scheme, adding a community-driven aspect to the event.

Security and Traffic Measures in Place
Given the scale of the event, extensive security measures have been implemented. Over 4,000 police personnel, including officers from specialized units such as the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), Quick Response Team (QRT), and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, will be on duty.

To manage traffic, 280 personnel will oversee vehicle movement near Azad Maidan, with senior officers ensuring smooth operations. Traffic diversions are in place, and around 8,000 CCTV cameras will monitor the area. Attendees have been encouraged to use public transport due to a lack of parking facilities at the venue.

A Unique Invitation Detail
A curious detail about the event has drawn attention: the invitation card lists Devendra Fadnavis as “Devendra Sarita Gangadharrao Fadnavis,” incorporating his mother’s name, Sarita, alongside his father’s name, Gangadhar. This marks a change from previous ceremonies in 2014 and 2019, where only his father's name was mentioned.

Fadnavis had included his full name, including his mother’s, in his affidavit for the 2024 assembly elections, which may explain the change on this occasion.
