Gurdaspur: PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kartarpur corridor on Saturday (9 November). With this, he gave green signal to the first batch for Kartarpur Sahib, which also includes former PM Manmohan Singh and his wife. There is a lot of excitement in Sikh devotees regarding the Kartarpur corridor. However, due to lack of proper knowledge of the rules, some devotees have to return.

On Monday, many people reached the Kartarpur Corridor Integrated Check Post who were not allowed to go to Pakistan-based Gurdwara Shri Darbar Sahib Kartarpur even after registering beforehand. There are also some people who did not know about the rules and reached for the darshan. A family who reached Kartarpur Corridor from Amritsar has told the media that they had registered three family members. The family's son Simarpreet Singh said that he had registered with his parents and a police verification was also held.

But only the father got permission to go to Kartarpur. Apart from this, a family of Karnal reached Dera Baba Nanak of Gurdaspur with the intention of offering prayers at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan. He had a passport but did not register as per the rules. Gurutej Singh said that he did not know that it was necessary to register. It is revealed by coming here. Now we have to return back after visiting the Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan only through binoculars.
