The budding duo has won the audience's hearts. Penguin is a psychological thriller filled with layers of truth and as the film progresses secrets reveals. It is about a boy who mysteriously disappears into the forest and a mother whose hopes do not die even after the son is declared dead. The film is female-centric, depicting how a mother can somehow overcome all obstacles to protect her child from every danger.
'Penguin' is produced by Karthik Subbaraj under the banner of Stone Bench Films and is produced by Karthiken Santhanam, Sudhan Sundaram, and Jayaram under Passion Studios. Keerthy has made her OTT debut with this film and this is Ishwar Karthik's first film as a director. The film was released in Tamil and Telugu and dubbed into Malayalam.
