Renowned Malayalam singer MS Naseem dies, CM Vijayan mourns

Thiruvananthapuram: Very sad news has come out of the music world today, the famous Malayalam singer MS Naseem has passed away today. It is being told that he was paralyzed for the last ten years, due to which his health was very poor. He has finally taken his last breathe in a private hospital after a long illness. State Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has mourned hearing the news of his death.

It is noteworthy that Naseem had a permanent presence in Doordarshan, Akashvani, and who had performed programs on other forums, Naseem made a place in the hearts of the audience with songs by Mohammad Rafi and Baburaj. He gave his voice for many drama circles. Apart from this, he also sang songs for two films. In 1992, 1993, 1995, and 1997 he won the Best Singer Award for Small Screen.

Along with this, he also won the Kerala Sangeet Natak Akademi's Best Singer Award. Naseem had suffered paralysis 16 years ago and was undergoing treatment. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan has expressed condolences on his demise, saying that Naseem gained popularity with song melas and this made him a favorite of people.
